Issues

All encountered issues can be reported to support@bia-soft.com. Sometimes an issue might have a simple solution but sometimes it might be quite complex to fix it quickly.

Possible issues might arise from how Matpower keeps track of multiple generators or parallel lines. Matpower depends on the assumption that generators and generator costs are listed in the same order but in some special cases it might confuse MPV’s reading and/or writing functions. MPV uses generator labels to distinguish between different generators on the same bus and must be unique within the bus record. The user can assign generator labels or completely ignore them. Buses are also assigned labels which can be modified or completely ignored by the user. Labels are also used for branches, transformers and DC lines but are not important in the case of parallel lines. Except in the generator case, labels have a more informative and display role. Labels are not part of mpc structure, so they can be ignored completely.

Any and all reported issues will be addressed regardless of whether you are using the free or commercial version of MPV.
