Requirements

The commercial version of MPV requires an internet connection to check out the license. The non-commercial version does not require a license or internet connection.

For the commercial version on Linux platform, /proc file system must be readable by the user. It is unusual for /proc not to be user readable but it is possible.

MPV cannot run in a Virtual Machine.

Matpower file data must be stored in a structure named mpc.

Matlab *.mat file should be using UTF-8 and uncompressed. Linux and MacOS very likely use UTF-8 but Windows Matlab might use UTF-16, Windows in general prefers UTF-16 text encoding. Using options -v6 and -v7 when saving to *.mat seems to be working reliably on all platforms.

MPV is tested on 64 bit Intel processors on Windows 11, Kubuntu 24.04 and MacOS 11. It does not run on 32 bit processors.
